You’ve seen the promos and we are delighted to announce that Grey’s Anatomy is back! Yay!

The eighth season is due to kick off in just a few weeks time and we cannot wait.

Meredith, Cristina, Alex, Jackson and April have all reached their 5th year as residents. This is the year that will make or break a surgical career, the residents are tasked with their first-ever solo surgeries, no longer under their attendings’ direct supervision in the O.R.

Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) faces the consequences of tampering with Derek’s (Patrick Dempsey) clinical trial. They are also living apart and sharing custody of newly adopted Zola. April (Sarah Drew) has to step up to the plate as Chief Resident in the wake of a giant sinkhole in the middle of Seattle, but none of the other residents respect her decisions and authority.

Cristina (Sandra Oh) and Owen’s (Kevin McKidd) wedded bliss is in jeopardy. Cristina becomes unexpectedly pregnant and decides to terminate the pregnancy, Owen is against it, proving to be the biggest issue their relationship has had to face so far. Meanwhile Meredith and Cristina find themselves at the centre of each other’s worlds once again, as their marriages are tested.

Jackson (Jesse Williams) is consistently proving he has the skills to be a very talented surgeon, he is extremely happy in a new relationship with Lexie (Chyler Leigh). Whereas Mark Sloan (Eric Dane) is doing his best with moving forward after his relationship with Lexie has ended and has become a loving parent to daughter Sofia with the now-married Callie (Sara Ramirez), and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw).

Love abounds in other places in the hospital, as Bailey’s (Chandra Wilson) relationship with Nurse Eli continues to grow and Teddy (Kim Raver) falls deeper in love with her patient, Henry. Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr) focuses on caring for his beloved wife, Adele, who has Alzheimer’s disease.

Tune into Grey’s Anatomy on Sky Living HD this November, with the new series kicking off with a double bill from 9pm, following episodes will be on at 10pm.
