Guilty Pleasures With Fearne Cotton Coming To ITV

Fearne Cotton hosts a night of pure musical indulgence, as eight top musical acts sing the songs that they secretly love in Guilty Pleasures, coming soon to ITV1.

If they ‘think they’re alone now and there doesn’t seem to be anyone around’, they can think again as eight top music acts perform their favourite songs in Guilty Pleasures on ITV1. Presented by Fearne Cotton, Guilty Pleasures will see top artists singing their very own ‘guilty musical pleasure’ in a celebration of music that is ever so slightly shameful to love.

But instead of singing their hearts out in the privacy of their showers or with a hairbrush in hand - they will be in front of the entire nation and for one night only.

The celebrities will have nowhere to hide as they indulge themselves and the audience by singing out the songs that they secretly love. Acts include:

* BRIT award winner KT Tunstall singing The Voice by John Farnham.
* The Feeling performing Video Killed The Radio Star by The Buggles.
* Kelly Osbourne indulging in Total Eclipse Of The heart by Bonnie Tyler.
* Diamond Hoo Ha Men (Danny and Gaz from Supergrass), will be singing their unique version of Michael Jackson’s Beat It.
* Craig David singing If You Let Me Stay by Terrence Trent D’Arby.
* The Magic Numbers will sing Islands In The Stream by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton.
* Multi-platinum selling singer songwriter Sophie Ellis Bextor will sing Yes Sir I Can Boogie by Baccara.
* Scottish musician Amy Macdonald will sing Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond.

Creator Sean Rowley who took his Guilty Pleasures radio show to another level with festival appearances and his infamous club nights, which have been described as ‘a global phenomenon’, is now bringing the pleasure to ITV1.

‘Guilty Pleasures is a modern day success story, which has, in four incredible years, entered the lexicon of everyday banter. The music played at Guilty Pleasures won’t ever make the rock critics top ten’s but we play it free of irony and celebrate pop music in all it’s glorious forms,’ Explains Rowley.

‘Little did I know that when I was a youngster and I’d hide certain records from my mates because I knew that they just weren’t cool, that this would lead to the kind of adventures I’ve had with Guilty Pleasures over the last four years. It’s been a dream to see this grow into a TV show and I’m very proud, especially as it was all born out of my secret obsession for David Cassidy and ELO!” Adds Rowley.

Fearne Cotton says: ‘Presenting Guilty Pleasures is going to be the best fun. What a great combination of cool bands, artists and all my fave tunes! I’m going to make sure I find the time to have a little dance as well.’

ITV’s controller of Music and Events, Guy Freeman, says: ‘With Guilty Pleasures , Sean Rowley has not only performed the previously impossible feat of getting all sorts of people to own up to the songs they sing in the privacy of their shower or car but he’s also persuaded some great and surprising artists to perform them. It’s been road-tested on radio, in clubs and at festivals and so I’m delighted that Leopard Films have now brought Guilty Pleasures to ITV.’

Leopard Films CEO James Burstall adds: ‘Guilty Pleasures is one of the coolest new musical phenomena to come out of clubland. When we saw them at Glastonbury we just knew that we had to take this to ITV - it has street cred, it’s feelgood and is a sparky new addition to the Saturday night line-up.”
