36 stone, Geraldine Swindler, a former plus size model, wants a quick fix to lose weight, but the gastric bypass operation she desires is a dangerous procedure. Her long-suffering husband Robert doesn’t want her to run the risks, but Geraldine is a woman who refuses to listen to the advice of others.

44 stone Annette Savis-Skinner, is a loving mother with 6 year-old son, called “Na-me” but she is suffering from two unsightly tumours. She has been told she needs to lose at least seven stone to have surgery, and even then her life could be in danger.

She has agreed to go to Brookhaven, to try and lose enough weight to have her tumours removed. But halfway through her treatment her health insurers want to send her back home – and undo all her hard work.
