HALF TON HOSPITAL WITH JEREMY KYLE: Episode Three

Michael Hebranko, is the world’s most famous fat man. In the late Eighties, Michael made headline news when the New York Fire Department were forced to demolish the front wall of his home in an attempt to move his, then, half-ton body to hospital. Miraculously he dropped a staggering 50-stone to an average 14-stone only to gain the weight back through his severe food addiction. Michael is now living in fear; “I cannot function, I won’t be alive in a month, I am so angry at myself”.

Dennis Davis weighs 50 stone, so big he hasn’t been able to leave his bed in nearly four years. He’s actually put on weight during his stay because he cheats the system by ordering take out food. At the young age of 34 his health is fading and if he doesn’t change his ways he is likely to die before 40. Dennis makes excuses for his lack of trying and only when he receives invasive life saving treatment for acute respiratory difficulties; unable to breathe as the fat pushes down on his lungs, does he see the error of his ways. Dennis admits “I don’t like food; I can see it’s just for contentment”.
