Hannah Jones Speaks On This Morning
HANNAH JONES the 13 year old girl suffering from Leukemia, who recently refused a heart transplant, just gave an interview to Phillip Schofield and Ruth Langsford on today’s This Morning, along with her mother Kirsty.
Hannah spoke for the first time about how she believes she does not have much time left, to the shock of her mother:
Phillip: “So how do you view your life now? Do you see the fact that you think you might get better? Do you see the fact that having made the decision you’ve made that you still have a very good chance of getting to be an old lady? How long do you think you have?
Hannah: “I don’t know how long I think I have but I think I might not stay for much longer.”
Phillip: “And how does that make you feel?”
Hannah: “It makes me feel a bit upset but even if I don’t last for much longer I have to spend a lot of time with my family.”
Phillip: “I can’t imagine what that’s like for a Mum to hear and I think those words sort of take you a little bit by surprise, certainly by the look on your face?”
Kirsty: “Absolutely, yes! I have to say I haven’t heard you say that Han, that you haven’t got much time left. You normally say, ‘Oh, we’re having a great time aren’t we, and we’re going to do this and we’re going to do that next month’ so yes.”
