It seems that new Corrie producer, Phil Collinson, wants to recruit “two hunky men” for the show.

The website Hot TV reports that he’s looking for one male to play a “heart throb” and another to become a Street villain.

The Daily Star reports that Collinson said of the new roles, “I think we are missing a really good heart-throb.

“And there’s also room for a new tough, good-looking villain.”

Tony Gordon – who’s played by Gray O’Brien – has of course been a Baddie for many years, but as his demise is near, Collinson wants to introduce another villain.

Collinson told the paper, “Tony has been doing a great job but it’s time for someone new.

“There are incredibly exciting times ahead for Corrie.”
