Heroes, Chapter 12 - Godsend - Episode Guide

Episode opens in the hospital where Nathan and his mother are attending comatose Peter Petrelli. Simone visits and Nathan lies that Peter said he felt he was absorbing too many powers. He insists that Simone takes him to Isaac to “see the person who’s responsible for all of this”.

They arrive in Isaac’s apartment to discover he’s returned and is clean. He tells Simone that he was in a clinic and that he is only alive because of her. Nathan admits that Peter feels responsible for the bomb.

Claire’s school is about to reopen and she admits to Noah that she’s concerned about being asked questions. She pretends that she has no memory of the events that night.

Matt Parkman leads Agent Hansen to the Primatech Paper factory and they confront Noah Bennett about Sylar’s whereabouts. Once again, the Haitian blocks Matt’s powers and they are forced to leave empty handed. Hansen and Parkman’s reputations are in tatters.

Hiro and Ando visit the museum and discover a samurai costume with a mysterious symbol in the hilt. Ando translates the symbol as a combination of characters meaning ‘godsend’. Hiro tells Ando that since Charlie died his powers have been getting weaker and he plans to take the suit as it will help him focus his powers.

Hiro manages to slow down time and steal the sword, but they discover in the parking lot that it’s a fake, a replica of one owned by Lindermann Group.

Niki is in prison, having handed herself in to the police. Micah and DL are living alone and they’re having a hard time adjusting to life together. Micah is being bullied at school because his mother is a ‘psycho killer’. A representative of Lindermann arrives to take away the suitcase of cash, but refuses to call it quits.

Mohinder talks to the police and discovers that Eden was an alias and that she was found dead in a lake in Ontario.

Claire talks to Zack again and asks him if he thinks they could be friends. He says they he doesn’t think they’d play well together.

Jessica manages to convince Niki’s lawyer that she has split personality (which she obviously does) and the guys freaks out and leaves.

Claire meets the Haitian in the desert and he warns her not to talk to Peter because he’s being watched. He tells her that the biological parents were employees of her father. He tells her that he cannot return her friends memories - “that is not how my gift works…what you can do, what I can do…comes from God”. He warns her to respect her gift.

Hiro talks to Nathan Petrelli in Isaac’s apartment and explains they discuss whether someone might have the powers to blow up the city. Nathan is gradually coming around to the whole ‘hero’ situation. Camera shoots to Theodore Sprague in a shack in the Nevada desert experimenting with flashing powers emanating from his hands.

Claire takes Zack into the desert to show him her powers. She re-enacts her suicide attempt by jumping from the industrial scaffolding.

DL and Micah visit Niki in prison. She tells DL that Jessica is causing trouble and that she may never escape. She talks to Micah and explains that she’s not coming home any time soon. She becomes upset at not being able to hug her son and

Noah Bennett visits Mohinder Suresh at home and talks to him about Eden. Mohinder is suspicious, sceptical about Eden and Bennett defends her. Mohinder rejects Bennett’s appeal for help, saying if he finds the people on his father’s list, he’ll warn them about him.

Matt Parkman returns home to his wife. She tries to apologise to him, but he admits that he can hear people’s thoughts. She doesn’t believe him, so he attempts to prove it by reading her mind.

Peter Petrelli has the explosion premonition yet again and wakes from his coma. He stumbles out of the hospital and meets a strange man he recognises from his premonition. The man has the power of invisibility, and is shocked to discover Peter can not only see him, but appears to have the same power.

Hiro is the proof that Simone need to convince her that Isaac is telling the truth about his abilities. She says that Lindermann is a client of hers and that she’ll get Hiro in to see him in Las Vegas.

The episode ends with Niki Sanders lying in a padded cell in despair, thinking “God help me”. As the light goes off, she flicks instantly to Jessica who retorts “Who needs God when you’ve got me?”
