Die hard Heroes fans had hoped that with the end of the US writers strike in sight, we may be treated to further Heroes episodes at some point this year.

Series Two is due to hit BBC Two in the next few months, but it was cut short, as the writers strike stopped the series midway.

We had hoped that once the strike ended, the missing episodes would be rushed out, there completing series two.

But Heroes actress, Hayden Panettiere revealed to Ain’t It Cool News that new shooting for series three will begin in April. It is now expected that Heroes series three will air in the US this autumn, and therefore hit our screens sometime in 2009.
