Heroes: Tim Kring Defends Series Two

Heroes creator, Tim Kring, has defended the second series of the show that was slammed by fans and critics alike.

Speaking to the Official Heroes Magazine, Kring stated: “In the second season I think we had some interesting things happen. You can’t really plan for the audience’s reaction to things and one of the things we found out was that the audience did not want to start slowly and build.

“But sure enough that happened in the first season and I think people don’t really remember that.”

Kring revealed that he kept a constant check on fans opinions online and was surprised how quickly they could change: “When I logged on to chatrooms in the first season, during episodes seven and eight, it was really depressing because the fans were just livid.

“They said, ‘This isn’t making any sense! The characters haven’t come together, nothing is happening!’ Three episodes later when I logged on, we were suddenly doing everything right!”
