Hole In The Wall To Be Axed
Dale Winton’s new celebrity gameshow, Hole In The Wall, may be axed by the BBC just weeks into its first airing.
The Sun is reporting that the show’s bosses are concerned that people are already bored with the format and claims the team are struggling to find contestants.
The show features two teams, led by Anton du Beke and Darren Gough, who compete in a game of ‘human Tetris’. They must try to avoid being knocked into a pool of water.
Z listers Bobby Davro, Vanessa Feltz, Andi Peters, Phil Tuffnell, and Alex Wotherspoon have all been contestants in the first series.
“There’s a lot of love for Hole In The Wall” a source told the paper. “It’s an hilarious show and it’s found a place in the nation’s heart.
“However, there are only so many times you can watch Vanessa Feltz get dunked in a pool and laugh. It just makes you groan after a while.”
Can’t disagree there.
with regard to the celebrity guests, the source also added, “It’s difficult to get even Z-list names. We don’t want to end up with former Big Brother contestants.”
Hell no! Dale’s hole is worthy of so much more than that fate worse than death.
