Hollyoaks actor, Nick Pickard (Tony Hutchinson) pleads guilty to drink driving!
Original Hollyoaks actor, Nick Pickard, has been banned from driving for 12 months after admitting to drink-driving, the Milton Keynes News reports.
Pickard, who plays Tony Hutchinson in award-winning Channel 4 soap, appeared at Milton Keynes Magistrates Court yesterday where he pleaded guilty to driving while over the limit.
The star, who is the soap’s longest serving actor, was issued the ban, which he has been told may be reduced by three months if he takes a rehabilitation course, along with an £850 fine.
Pickard, who was recently pinnacle to the epic Enjoy The Ride wedding day bus crash that took place in the show last month, was stopped by police at 1am on October 15th in Milton Keynes for a routine check. He was then taken to a local police station where blood tests were taken and showed that he was 14 milligrams over the legal alcohol limit.
Pickard’s solicitor today told the court: “He wishes to express his remorse and regret, and he acknowledges he made a grave error in judgement.
“He had consumed alcohol earlier that day. He thought the alcohol had gone from his system and he apologises.”
Pickard’s character is about to have his world rocked this Christmas when details of his wife, Cindy’s (Stephanie Waring) with Rhys Ashworth (Andy Moss) are revealed to Rhys’ wife, and Tony’s ex, Jacqui McQueen during the Christmas day episode.
