Former Hollyoaks star Carley Stenson – who recently made a guest appearance on the show to reprise the role of her character Steph Roach for the Boxing Day episode – has revealed that she’d love a role in famous musical, Les Misérables.
Plus, we have a few sneak peeks into what lies ahead for Chester’s residents in 2012, but first, Carley – who is presently starring in the musical adaptation of Legally Blonde – told the PA, “I’ve always wanted to do Les Misérables and play Eponine and Fantine…
“And I’ve always wanted to be Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar.
“I don’t know when the time comes around and I audition if I’ll be the right look or age for it. We’ll keep our fingers crossed.
“I’m going to see what other musicals are casting at that time, so we’ll have to wait and see how that pans out.”
However, she added that she hasn’t ruled out TV roles either. She said, “I want to do more TV as well…
“Not for the longevity but to be actively working and get as many characters under my belt.”
On now to what’s coming up in 2012 for the villagers, and according to the Sun, Darren Osbourne (Ashley Taylor Dawson) has “the ultimate romantic gift” lined up for his fiancé Nancy Hayton (Jessica Fox) in the form of a surprise wedding on Valentine’s Day!
The paper also reveals that Mercedes Fisher (Jennifer Metcalfe) will suffer such desperate financial struggles in 2012, that she’ll turn to prostitution in a bid to make ends meet.
However, there’s a new love interest ahead for Mercy when a “charming doctor” befriends her.
Also coming up in the New Year, sixth form student George (Steven Roberts) is hiding a dark secret, but it seems it’s not set to remain a secret for much longer.
