Fans of Hollyoaks will know how Carmel Valentine vanished from our screens a few months ago after the tanning accident that left her once beautiful face screed for life.

Since then she has not really ben at the forefront of anyone’s minds as the village, and in particular, the McQueen family, have been thrown in to turmoil with stabbings, murders, wedding and most recently the kidnapping of baby Bobby.

However, fans of the former nun can breathe a sigh of relief as it has today been revealed that the blonde bombshell is set to return to our screens following her R&R at Nana McQueen’s!

Carmel (Gemma Merna) is set to return to the village on our screens in a fortnight’s time after receiving a visit from McQueen matriarch, Myra (Nicole Barber-Lane) on Wednesday 10th October, desperate to have her family finally reunited. However, it proves to be a harder task than expected!

Gemma Merna, who plays Carmel, recently to took to social networking site, Twitter, to tell fans: “Everyone don’t worry, I’m filming a lot of good storylines for #Hollyoaks so will be back on your screens very shortly!”

Hollyoaks can be seen week nights at 6.30pm on Channel 4/Channel 4 HD.
