With the Hollyoaks Enjoy The Ride bus disaster about to crash on to our screens next week, viewers are all wondering which stories and revelations this accident will shake up, and it seems that one of them could be the love triangle of Cindy, Rhys and their partners.
We reported earlier today in or exclusive interview with Andrew Moss and Scarlet Bowman (who play Rhys Ashworth and Maddie Morrison in the award-winning Channel 4 soap) that both the weddings of Ste (Keiron Richardson) to Doug (PJ Brennan) and Cindy (Stephanie Waring) to Tony (Nick Pickard) do indeed take place during next week’s epic Enjoy The Ride storyline, but it would seem that there are still a few twists in the tail!
Stephanie Waring, who plays devious Cindy in the award-winning Channel 4 soap, has hinted that despite marrying Tony, her character does indeed decide to run away with Rhys Ashworth (Andrew Moss) after the wedding.
We reported in our exclusive interview with Andy Moss, who plays Rhys in the show, that Cindy is given one last chance to run away with Rhys, who she has been having a not so secret fling with for the past few months, and it would seem that she decides to take him up on his offer!
“At the wedding, Rhys has decided to leave Hollyoaks and asks Cindy to go with him,” Stephanie told All About Soap.
“Her head is saying stay with Tony, but her heart belongs to Rhys. She makes the choice to run away with Rhys, and Tony spots them – just as she looks up and sees the bus coming right for them!”
Fans of the hit show will know how what started off as a fling between the two cheating characters seems to have developed into something more, but Cindy decides to marry Tony (who has discovered her affair but chosen not to confront her over it) and it is during their double wedding ceremony with Ste Hay (Keiron Richardson) and Doug Carter (PJ Brennan) that the mini bus, driven by Maddie Morrison (Scarlet Bowman) ploughs into the celebrations, causing what is rumoured to be the biggest death toll the soap has ever seen in one sitting!

Waring, who has played Cindy on and off since 1996, went on to say that because of her deception, even if they survive the bus crash, she can’t see a happy ever after for Cindy and Tony!
“There’d be a lot of repercussions following her decision to run away with Rhys on her wedding day. She has a load of secrets.
“I don’t know if she and Tony could have a happy marriage. I’m not sure they can recover from her leaving Tony for another man on their wedding day. It’s unforgivable and the final nail in the coffin.”
