Kieron Richardson has revealed to the Press Association that he’s “finding it hard” to cope with his character’s storylines in Chester soap Hollyoaks.

Richardson’s character – single dad Ste – is currently being manipulated by evil would-be babysnatchers Daniel and Abi. They’re new characters to the show and while viewers are aware of their intention to kidnap Ste’s baby, Lucas, the character believes they are friends who’re trying to help him cope.

Kieron told the PA, “I think it is a confusing storyline – I think that’s because it’s one that’s not been done in the soap before…

“Basically, we’re at the point now where Abi and Daniel are drugging Ste with caffeine pills to keep him awake at night while the baby is sleeping.

“In the day time, when the drugs are wearing off, he’s falling asleep on the job and the baby is in danger when he’s looking after him because he hasn’t got his full attention on the baby.”

The drama with Ste, Daniel and Abi will be revealed over the coming weeks in Hollyoaks.
