Hollyoaks post watershed spin-off Hollyoaks Later will return for a new series in the autumn it has been announced.

The late night spin-off series has been a regular extra treat for Hollyoaks fans since 2008 and will once again provide a more risky and sexy version of the main pre-watershed show when it airs in October.

Full story details are yet to be confirmed but Hollyoaks series producer Emma Smithwick told the soaps official website that viewers can expect stories from the likes of the sixth formers, Mitzeee (Rachel Shenton) and the first and long-awaited outing in the late night series for popular character Brendan Brady played by award winning actor Emmett J Scanlan. As with the previous years, the 1 hour long episodes will air each night at 10pm across one week in the autumn on e4.

Previous versions of the post watershed spin-off have included such storylines as Niall Rafferty (Barry Sloane) committing suicide by jumping to his death, Sarah Barnes (Loui Batley) die in a tragic skydiving accident and Rae Wilson (Alice Barlow) become another victim of resident serial killer Silas Blisset (Jeff Rawle). So what’s the betting that some doomed Hollyoaks resident will end up meeting their maker in this latest installment…
