Poor Max Cunningham just has no luck. He finally finds the woman of his dreams, and before he even makes it to the altar to marry him, he dies!

It is not yet clear if the flare up of Max’s heart condition is brought on by natural causes, but The Daily Star reports that Niall Rafferty, who is in love with Steph, is arrested over the death.

A Hollyoaks insider said: “Does Max’s heart give out so he dies of natural causes or does Mr Evil strike again and Niall makes sure that if he can’t have Steph, no-one can? Fans are just going to have to tune in and watch the drama unfold.”
