Hollyoaks release spectacular teaser promo for Enjoy The Ride bus crash! (VIDEO)
We reported earlier this month how a bus crash in Hollyoaks was set to shake the village to its very core, with two confirmed deaths, but rumours suggesting the tragedy will carry with it the biggest death toll the soap has ever seen in one hit!
And in true Hollyoaks style, with every huge and spectacular storyline comes with it an almost equally spectacular promo trailer, and the bus crash, entitled Enjoy The Ride, is certainly no exception!
The tragic story is set to start when Bart McQueen (Johnny Clarke) tries to stop a mini bus driven by Maddie (Scarlet Bowman) from travelling to Gretna Green in order for Jono (Dylan Llewellyn) to marry teenage Ruby (Anna Schafer.
From pictures, and the promo itself, it looks like the bus is filled with all the sixth formers the young couple hang around with, apart from Bart obviously. And whilst all the speculation is about who ends up dead, we can’t help but wonder why Bart is trying to stop this seemingly happy occasion from happening. Perhaps it may have something to do with the current mystery of who slept with Sinead (Stephanie Davis) as we have predicted the answer to that particular riddle is Jono!
Anyway, when Maddie finds herself almost being run off the road by Bart, the pair engage in side to side battle, before Ste’s daughter, Leah, steps out into the road, causing Maddie to swerve to avoid hitting her, ploughing straight into the double wedding ceremony of Cindy (Stephanie Waring) and Tony (Nick Pickard) and Ste (Keiron Richardson) and Doug (PJ Brennan).
From images in the promo, and testaments from some of the cast involved in a behind the scenes clip, we can see that the main people involved in this huge accident, which results in the wedding literally exploding, are: Tony, Cindy, Rhys (Andrew Moss), Jacqui (Claire Cooper), Sinead, Maddie, Ruby, Jono, George (Steven Roberts), Ste and Doug,
From the clip you can see a real emphasis on the affair between Rhys and Cindy, especially when, at the end after everyone has flown off, Jacqui is left crawling on the floor surrounded by rubble, crying and, in Claire Coopers own words, “taking in the realisation of what’s happened, and what’s to come”
