Hollyoaks Spoiler: Esther’s torment continues!

With all the recent drama unfolding in Hollyoaks, and Hollyoaks Later, one storyline has been left simmering away in the background, and that is the torment of poor Esther Bloom’s torture at the hand of the sixth form bullies!

Fans of the show will know how Esther (Jazmine Franks) has started sixth form without the support of her best friend, Ruby (Anna Schafer) now that she has finally been accepted into the gang of cool kids she so longed to be a part of. This group is led by Queen Bee, Maddie (Scarlet Bowman) who turned her bullying attentions from Ruby to Esther after a heart to heart prompted Esther to try and kiss her.

Since then, Esther’s short time at college has been horrendous (although we think she must have enjoyed hitting Maddie as much as we enjoyed watching it!) and it looks like it’s not set to get any better.

Already on final warnings at home and college for her behaviour and attendance, and no longer allowed to associate with Phoebe (Mandip Gull) after getting her in trouble for stealing and fighting, and still dying slowly from the shame of her recent fashion presentation – which saw Maddie doctor her pictures causing her to run off stage in embarrassment, during which she tripped and ripped her dress off leaving her exposed in just her underwear, Esther is at her wits end.

Things take an even more drastic turn for the work in an upcoming storyline when George (Steven Roberts) asks his friends to help out with his new drama project, which is homage to Roman Holiday.

Ash’s (Holly Weston) motorbike is borrowed for the short film, but things go badly for Esther, who sets out to try and out-do Maddie who has been cast as Audrey Hepburn, when she crashes the vehicle, throwing her off it and again revealing her underway – which of course is videoed and instantly uploaded to the internet!

And that’s not all…..

Later that same week, the sixth-formers prepare for an autumn fancy dress ball, where Maddie decides to go dressed as Marilyn Monroe.

Unfortunately, desperate to keep the bad attention away from her, and firmly stuck on Esther, Ruby returns to form and convinces an unsuspecting Esther to get the exact same costume, and then proceeds to tell Maddie that it was done on purpose to show her up.

And that’s not all either…..

Sinead (Stephanie Davis) discovers a personal letter that teacher Jen Gilmore (Amy Downham) has convinced Esther to write in order to boost her self-esteem by listing all the things she loves most about herself.

However, when Sinead later finds the list in the bin, she keeps hold of it in order to intensify Esther’s torment even more!

Hollyoaks can be seen week nights at 6.30pm on Channel 4/Channel 4 HD.
