We knew it would only be a matter of time before Bart McQueen’s new hobby would be discovered, but the consequences of his illegal cannabis farm’s exposure are more than anyone could have predicted.
For the last few weeks, Bart (Jonny Clark) has been hiding the stash of the class B drug in his attic, trying desperately not to be caught by his aunt Myra (Nicole Barber-Lane), enlisting the help of his friends and girlfriend to help conceal and lie for him, but if he thought she was going to be angry just finding out what he was up to, he certainly wont want to see how angry she gets when she is arrested for it!
Pictures have emerged from Hollyoaks showing the entire McQueen clan, including Myra, Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe), Theresa (Jorgie Porter) and Carmel (Gemma Merna) being led out of the family home, by police, into waiting cars to escort them to the station, after the drugs are found after a raid.
Watching from the sidelines, and realising just how much trouble he is in, Bart goes on the run, leaving his poor innocent family to rot in jail.
Bart tries to convince girlfriend, Sinead (Stephanie Davis) to go with him, but at this point it is unknown whether she does or not, but with Bad Boy Brendan Brady (Emmett J Scanalan) waiting for his money in the wings, Bart needs to flee town quickly, leaving not much time for hesitation.
A show insider told The Daily Star: “Growing hash in the loft was not the smartest of moves Bart could have made and when the McQueens realise what he’s been doing they are furious.
“Whether Sinead will go with Bart is another matter as she’s happily settled in the village. But he knows Brendan will never let him get away with owing him money, so he faces a tough decision.”
These scenes will hit our screens next Tuesday on Channel4/ Channel4 HD.
