So, now we all know Fraser’s secret in Hollyoaks that Joe Roscoe is alive, the question is now “for how long”?
Fans of the hit Channel 4 soap will know how last month Joe (Ayden Callaghan) was trapped inside the derelict council flats whilst they were being demolished.
The scene was witnessed by his brother Freddie (Charlie Clapham) and stepfather, Fraser Black (Jesse Birdsall) who told Freddie that Joe had died during the demolition.
However, we now know that was a lie as in scenes shown this week Fraser took Grace (Tamara Wall) to see Joe in a secret hospital where he is in a deep coma.
Let’s face it, Fraser Black (Jesse Birdsall) isn’t keeping Joe’s current situation secret for the good of anyone’s health, he obviously has a hidden agenda, just what though?
Joe’s fate is by no means sealed at present, as he still has to deal with Fraser and what he wants with him, and what he will do to him if he threatens to spill the beans.
But before that becomes an issue Joe still needs to wake up but Ayden Callaghan, the actor who plays him, has revealed that he has no idea when, and even if that will ever happen.
According to Callaghan, Joe’s future is up in the air at the moment, and not even he knows what he will do if he does wake up, as he explained in a recent interview with Digital Spy who quote him as saying:
“At the minute we know that Joe is alive, but we don’t know for how long and really at this stage we don’t know whether he’s going to wake up. Even if Joe does wake up, we don’t know where he’s going to go or what he’s going to do. It’s all open at the moment!”
Knowing Joe, he is hardly going to turn a blind eye now he knows the truth about his mum’s new husband, but what will his whistle blowing cost him?
Hollyoaks can be seen weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4 / Channel 4 HD.
