Hollyoaks sweetheart, Cheryl Brady, is set for a fun-packed new storyline when she is arrested for solicitation on Valentine’s Day!
Fans of the hit show will know how Bronagh Waugh, the actress who plays the sensible sister of the moustached monster that is Brendan Brady, announced last week her decision to follow her on-screen brother, Emmett J. Scanlan, in leaving the hit Channel 4 soap.
However, before their double exit, which we have been promised will be explosively epic, Cheryl is set for a few more twists in her tale, and next week viewers will see her Hollyoaks Later love interest, Nate, reappear in her life as this new storyline begins to unravel.
Nate, as fans will remember, was the owner of the horse and cart who Cheryl and Brendan’s Nana commandeered for a joy ride during last year’s dramatic late night series. He and Cheryl hit it off and spent then night walking and sharing their life stories, and it looked like there may be true love on the horizon, that was until Cheryl caught Brendan hacking the body of Joel’s (Andrew Still) stepfather to pieces before murdering dear old Nana with his bare hands.
Since then Cheryl has returned to the village and set up a new business with Lianne Holiday (Jessica Forrest) providing the naked waiting services of some of the villages male residents.
The venture, named Saucy Service, see’s Cheryl heading back to Stockport next week to attend an investment meeting where it turns out that Nate, who kept his multi-million pound bank balance a secret, is the investment broker she needs to impress!
Nate is keen to pick up where they left off and asks Cheryl out on fancy dress Valentine’s Day date, which she reluctantly agrees to.
Dressed up as a 70’s pimp, Cheryl is all set for her date when the police turn up and arrest her for actually being a pimp as it transpires that one of her employees, Rob Edwards (David Atkins) has been taking his naked waiter services too far by sleeping with the clients.
How will Chezza get out of this one, and will Nate stick around to find out? We would love it if Cheryl’s exit could involve some sort of happy ever after with Nate, especially as Emmett J. Scanlan confirmed to us that Brendan’s exit is most definitely NOT going to involve a sunset. What do you think? How would you like to see these two iconic characters leaving Hollyoaks?
