There may be a happy ever after in Leanne Holiday’s future in Hollyoaks after all!
Fans of the award-winning Channel 4 soap will know how Leanne (Jessica Forrest) is currently behind bars awaiting trial for the murder of her best friend, Texas Longford (Bianca Hendrickse-Spendlove).
Of course we all know that she didn’t do it, Texas death was actually at the hands of her new husband, Will Savage (James Atherton) after he found out that she was planning to run off with his brother, Dodger (Danny Mac) on their wedding day.
First of all Will, who is pretending he still needs to use a wheelchair in order to secure his alibi, orchestrated the evidence to frame Dodger for the crime but, after Dodger was provided with a false alibi by his father Patrick Blake (Jeremy Sheffield), he then set up Texas’ best friend Leanne.
Leanne has been in prison ever since, but all that is about to change when ,as we previously reported, after discovering about the false alibi and witnessing him being aggressive with his girlfriend Maxine (Nicki Sanderson), Will’s mum Anna Savage (Saskia Wickham) decides that her ex-husband is responsible for Texas’ death, and tries to blow him up.
After seeing the whole thing Sienna (Ana Passey) is convinced by Patrick that Anna was the one who killed Texas and backs up his story about her confessing to the crime to the police, resulting in Anna being arrested and Leanne being released.
And one person in the Savage family who will be more than pleased that Leanne is back in the village is Dennis (Joe Tracini), who fans will know has been in love with Leanne forever!
Having always turned him down in the past, Leanne is set to look at the loveable clown in a different light after her stint in prison especially after he has been campaigning for her freedom ever since returning to the village and discovering what has happened.
Realising that his love for her is true, and that he is the only person who always had faith in her Leanne happily accepts when he proposes to her next week, and finally together at the last the happy couple begin planning their wedding.
