Hollyoaks Spoilers: Dr Browning (Joseph Thompson) threatens Myra McQueen (Nicole Barber-Lane)!
Dr Browning’s weird behaviour is set to take a dramatic turn in an upcoming storyline when he threatens his own mother-in-law!
Fans of the award-winning Channel 4 soap will know how Browning (Joseph Thompson) has been having flashes of guilt with regards to the murder of Lynsey Nolan (Karen Hassan), which everyone, apart from the courts, know he committed!
However, as viewers will have seen this week, whilst trying to get Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) to marry him Browning confessed to the murder, completely unaware that her mother Myra (Nicole Barber-Lane) heard the entire thing whilst trapped in a wardrobe.
The wedding goes ahead with Myra unable to get out in time to stop it, fearing that her daughter is in danger, but when Mercedes finally finds her mum the two women have it out and Mercedes convinces her mum to drop the subject of Lynsey.
Of course, it isn’t just dead Lynsey that Browning has to worry about, there is a live one too who is proving to be too much for his conscience to take, and in the coming weeks viewers will start to see the once cool, calm and collected Browning start to unravel as an unknown person teases him about the murder.
The first example is when an identical scarf to the on Browning used to kill Lynsey is left as a wedding present with a tag saying ‘I know what you did’, which sends the Doctor into a frenzy trying to work out who has discovered his secret.
He then finds a wreath left on his doorstep from the same mystery tormentor, followed by press cuttings from the murder hidden in some of his work files.
At this point he has no idea that Myra knows about the murder and instantly thinks that Mercedes is behind the games (reasonable assumption) so when Mercedes tells him that her mother also knows his secret he puts two and two together and goes after her instead.
Arriving at the McQueens he has it out with his mother-in-law before pinning her up against a wall and threatening the matriarchal McQueen – what will the others say?
Hollyoaks can be seen weeknights at 6,30pm on Channel 4/ Channel 4 HD – watch some behind the scenes footage of Lynsey’s murder in the clip below:
