John Paul McQueen has tried his best to be as brave as possible following his horrific rape at the hands of student, Finn O’Connor in Hollyoaks, but just as the dust starts to settle again he is harshly reminded of what has happened.
Fans of the award-winning Channel 4 soap will know how Finn (Keith Rice) subjected John Paul (James Sutton) to the brutal attack to stop his English teacher from reporting him to the police over his grandmother’s mugging.
The attack was not shown on screen, but implied, as Fin decided the only way to keep his teacher quite was to steal the power in the most horrific ways any human being can.
Since the attack John Paul has been a shadow of his former self, trying to pull himself through his ordeal with no help or support from anyone after deciding not to press charges against his attacker for fear of humiliation and repercussions.
But next week John Paul tries to regain his control over the student by changing all of Finn’s grades from Cs to Es just before parents evening where he presents the failed marks to Finn’s stepmum, Diane (Alex Fletcher).
Finn is not best pleased with this act of revenge and threatens the teacher to change them back.
John Paul is left rattled and frightened by the encounter but it is the least of his worries as the next day Finn turns to best friend Robbie (Charlie Wernham) to help him teach JP a much bigger lesson.
The details of this ‘lesson’ are being kept tightly under wraps by the show, but what we can reveal is that Robbie ends up so shocked by what his friend has done he walks away – But what is it?
Find out when all the drama unfolds in Hollyoaks on Wednesday, February 5 and Thursday, February 6 at 6.30pm on Channel 4 / Channel 4 HD.
