Hollyoaks Spoilers: Is Myra McQueen to be the next Hollyoaks blushing bride?

We reported earlier this month how Hollyoaks mother hen, Myra McQueen, is set to get a shotgun proposal from her casual lover, Dirk Savage, when he believes that she is pregnant, and it looks like she is planning to accept!

Fans of the hit Channel 4 soap will know how Myra (Nicole Barber-Lane) has been feeling unwell over the Christmas period and has been seeking medical advice from her future son-in-law, Dr Browning (Joe Thompson).

What she doesn’t know, however, is that Dr Browning has been showing her test results of a different patient, one who is pregnant, and dying! Browning’s reasons for this ultimate deception is to try and reunite his fiancée with her estranged family, a sinister and exaggerated plot but, let’s face it, not as sinister and exaggerated as killing Lynsey Nolan to protect Mercedes freedom.

Unfortunately for them both, Myra’s daughter, Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) has seen the fake file and reported the pregnancy to Dirk (David Kennedy) who is set to step up to his responsibilities and propose to Myra in front of all their children.

Myra is forced to admit the truth, or what she believes is the truth, that scans have revealed a shadow on her lung and that she does not have long to live.

However, according to Inside Soap, Dirk does not retract his offer of marriage, and Myra looks set to accept it!

“Dirk tells Myra exactly what she wants and needs to hear from him. It’s very emotional and she happily accepts,” Nicole told the magazine.

“I think Myra and Dirk are great together. She’s never married the fathers of any of her kids – and however tragic the circumstances, she’d want to go for a big wedding.”

The actress, who is married to Emmerdale star Liam Fox (Dan Spencer) in real life, went on to say that the truth behind Dr Browning’s diagnosis is set to unfold in the near future!

Hollyoaks can be seen week nights at 6.30pm on Channel 4/ Channel 4 HD.
