It finally seems that the tables may have turned on Trudy Ryan in Hollyoaks as her arch-nemesis Jacqui McQueen uncovers a secret that could destroy her.
Fans of the hit Channel4 soap will know how Trudy (Daniella Westbrook) has been secretly torturing her old cell-mate turned employee Jacqui McQueen (Claire Cooper) ever since giving her a job with her cleaning company.
Despite saying that whatever happened between them in the past is all water under the bridge, the ex-con has set about setting Jacqui up for stealing from her company, which Jacqui has had to sit back and take as it is quite clear that Trudy has something on her from their time together in prison.
However the worm turns next week when Jacqui uncovers a dodgy vodka-making scam that Trudy is concealing, meaning that the blackmailed has the opportunity to become the blackmailer.
Unfortunately, before Jacqui has a chance to make her move a would-be attacker named Alan grabs the feisty McQueen, bringing back memories of her traumatic rape at the hands of Gilly.
Ironically it is Trudy who comes to Jacqui’s rescue and a heart to heart between the two alpha-females finally thaws the frost between them as they both open up about being raped in their pasts.
With the two mortal enemies finally singing from the same hymn sheet, Trudy decides to offer Jacqui in on the vodka operation in order to make enough money to replace all that the McQueen’s lost at the hands of bailiffs.
Jacqui accepts, but after her first deal goes according to plan will she be tempted to keep her finger in the pie and run the risk of getting caught and going back to prison?
We know that Claire Cooper who plays Jacqui is leaving the show and has just finished filming her final scenes so maybe Jacqui’s exit could be in the back of a van with red and blue lights.
