We knew the return of Trevor Royle in Hollyoaks would spell trouble, and it seems that we were right!
Fans of the award-winning Channel 4 soap will know how Trevor (Greg Wood) was the reason that Jacqui McQueen had to flee town after she fleeced him of a van full of vodka and let his illegal immigrants, brought over for trafficking, go free.
Now, back on the scene as the go to man for drug dealers Freddie Roscoe (Charlie Clapham) and Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) Trevor is going to be reminded of Jacqui’s wrong doings when her foster daughter goes to him for help.
Phoebe Jackson (Mandip Gill) is pretty desperate to keep her new boyfriend, Vincent (John Omole) in the country so stupidly goes to Trevor, the man who tried to sell him to a life of slavery, in order to obtain a fake passport for him after he is threatened with deportation.
Remembering Phoebe’s relationship with Jacqui Trevor uses the meeting to try and get out of the young student where her foster mother has been hiding, resulting in a very dangerous showdown.
Mandip Gill, who plays Phoebe, told All About Soap: “She gets kidnapped by Trevor. To be fair, when she heads off, she doesn’t realise she’s going to be dealing with Trevor – she wouldn’t put herself in that position. Phoebe realises she’s in big trouble.
“[Trevor] wants Jacqui, but Phoebe knows she can never tell him where she is. Luckily, George and Vincent come to her rescue, and Ste manages to convince Trevor to release Phoebe.
“There’s a big catch, though – Trevor keeps Vincent, and he warns Phoebe that unless she brings Jacqui to him within 48 hours, then he’ll kill him and the rest of the McQueen family.”
After Phoebe relays the events to the rest of the McQueen clan, Dr Browning comes up with the cunning plan to fake Jacqui’s death, even bringing in a REAL corpse for the ride!
“Only Browning could come up with a plan that crazy! He tells the McQueens he’ll get a fake body and then they’re going to have a fake funeral. The plan is that Trevor will fall for the scam, think its Jacqui and leave the family alone.
“But no-one, apart from Myra, actually realises that he’s got hold of a real dead body! When [Trevor] comes round to the house, the body falls out of the coffin!”
Hollyoaks is due to air these scenes in early July.
Hollyoaks can be seen weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4/ Channel 4 HD.
