Hollyoaks Spoilers: Riley is the father of Mitzeee’s unborn baby boy – and you can get to name him!

As we reported last month, after both Minniver sisters started feeling the symptoms of pregnancy in Hollyoaks last week, they decided to do a pregnancy test together to put their minds at rest, but, while Maxine’s came back negative, MITZEEE’S showed that famous blue line!

To make matters worse for Mitzeee, who last year alone was stalked, sent to prison for attempted murder after being framed for the stabbing of Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) then lost the love of her life, her second cousin Riley after he was shot dead by a stray bullet, she soon realises that Tyson might not even be the father!

A show source told the Daily Star newspaper at the time: “If Tyson’s not the dad, then who is?”
And now that it would seem that Mitzeee is much further gone than she first thought, five months gone to be precise, meaning that only one person could be the child’s father, her deceased kissing-cousin, Riley Costello!

Rachel Shenton is leaving the show in a storyline involving an appearance on Eamonn Holmes show, Sunrise next week, of which she said at the time her departure was announced: “Mitzeee’s final week is not to be missed, especially when she finds herself chatting to the fabulous Mr Holmes.”

“I’ve had an amazing two years playing Mitzeee.

“She’s been on an incredible journey that’s not over yet…

“It’s been an absolute privilege to work with the cast and crew that make Hollyoaks such a special place.

“This has been one of the hardest decisions I’ve made, but I feel it’s time for Mitzeee and myself to move onto pastures new.”

And now that the father’s identity is about to be revealed, the crew at Hollyoaks are giving you, the viewer, the opportunity to name the baby, who will be revealed to be a baby boy.

The official Hollyoaks website yesterday (15/02/13) has given fans the chance to become a part of Hollyoaks history, by posting the following:

You see, Mitzeee’s not had much time to even consider names for this unborn bubbah yet (what with the whole assisting a potential murder/appearing on TV with Eamonn Holmes/finding out she’s preggers/moving to America THING).

Which is where you come in. We want your suggestions for the baby’s name!

Maybe you think it’s fitting (and only slightly wrong) to call the baby ‘Silas’ after his murderous great-grandfather, or perhaps you’d rather channel the Beckhams with a glamorous name based on where the baby was conceived, such as, err, ‘Chester’. Or just maybe you’re a fan of fruit-based names (who isn’t?) like Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, who named their child ‘Apple’.

Whatever your ideas, leave them in the comments box on the Hollyoaks official website page and they will show them to a Hollyoaks producer. You never know, your suggestion could be used.

Tips:

The baby is a boy, so think boy’s names.
Want a challenge? Try and think of a name that would mean something to Mitzeee and Riley.
Get your ideas in before Monday 18th Feb at 5pm, then keep an eye on this blog next week to see which name is chosen.

Don’t forget to tell us what names you have put forward, we at Unreality TV can’t quite decide between Micos (a mixture of Mitzeee and Costello) or Dingle (for obvious reasons!)

Watch a clip of Mitzeee in action in the clip below:

Hollyoaks can be seen week nights at 6.30pm on Channel 4/ Channel 4 HD.
