Hollyoaks have released an exciting new promo for the summer ahead, showing dramatic developments to many of it’s already edgy current storylines.
In the video, which you can watch for yourself at the bottom of this article, fans can see Dr Browning’s (Joseph Thompson) worst fears come true when his new wife Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) tells him that she hates him.
Fans of the award-winning Channel 4 soap will know how, after believing that she has been behind his recent stalking campaign in relation to Lynsey Nolan, the nurse he murdered last year, Browning has been desperately trying to raise the cash to pay a hit man to get rid of his mother in law Myra (Nicole Barber-Lane).
But it seems that his plan, much like his sanity at present, is set to unravel after Mercedes seemingly ends their relationship.
Also in the promo are scenes from both intertwining cancer stories, as Ste (Kieron Richardson) is begged by his dying mum to end her life. It is still unknown as to whether Ste agrees to assist his mothers suicide, but from the scenes in the video it certainly looks like whatever decision he makes will be a hard one.
Ste also features in a few heartbreaking scenes with Tony (Nick Pickard) as he shaves his head for him as well as the pair hugging in what looks to be a tissue grabbing episode, as they bond over the cancer that is ripping both their worlds apart.
Also in the clip is the start of Sinead’s (Stephanie Davis) escort storyline as she finds herself in the back of a cab being driven by evil Trevor (Greg Wood) looking less than happy with the situation, whilst in another scene we can see an intimate moment between George (Stephen Roberts) and Vincent (John Omole).
Finally there is more trouble n store for the Osborne’s as scenes show a scheming Sienna (Anna Passey) taking her games to dangerous new levels (though we were pleased to see her tied up at one point) as well as several car chasers, one of which results in an actual cliff hanger (that is a car was left hanging over an edge of a building).
Hollyoaks Six Weeks of Summer can be seen weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4 / Channel 4 HD – watch the promo for it below:
