With the Hollyoaks wedding of the year about to hit our screens and launch the murder mystery of the year when Texas Longford is pushed to her death from a hotel window, one of the main suspects in the case has revealed that even he thinks his character looks guilty!
As we have previously reported, Texas (Bianca Hendrickse-Spendlove) will meet her maker straight after marrying Will Savage (James Atherton) this week, with five village residents named as main suspects.
Will himself is a suspect having discovered that Texas is still in fact in love with his brother, Dodger (Danny Mac), with Dodger also being a suspect after Texas chose Will over him.
Whilst most people wouldn’t be able to believe that Dodger could be capable of killing his one true love, jealous rage or not, the actor who plays him, Danny Mac, has revealed that he thinks he is.
Speaking to Digital Spy he explained:
“Definitely at the time of this happening, he is capable, as he’s in such a major state emotionally. Also, after Texas is murdered, everything seems to lead towards Dodger in terms of the evidence.”
When asked what sort of evidence the police have against him, the actor replied:
“They have a CCTV image which is timed shortly after Texas’s death, showing Dodger looking very distressed and panicked as he’s leaving the wedding venue. Dodger also has a cut on his face which has DNA links with Texas. At first glance of the evidence, everything seems to be pinned on Dodger!
“Dodger knows that he looks guilty, and he’s still trying to deal with the fact that Texas is dead. He can’t comprehend this situation and the pressure gets to him massively.”
However, despite being charged with the murder, Dodger is thrown a lifeline when his biological father, Patrick Blake gives him an alibi which clears his name, but is it a real one?
“As far as I’m aware, it’s just Patrick helping his son out! Without it, Dodger wouldn’t have a leg to stand on. Patrick saves him.”
After Dodger’s release, the police charge Texas’ best friend, Leanne (Jessica Forrest) with the murder, on which the actor said:
“It’s a relief for the Savages and the rest of the village, because they think they’ve found out who’s done it. All of the evidence starts to point towards her, so everyone is more than happy to believe that Leanne is guilty. Dodger is actually quite adamant that it must have been her, but that might change when he gets a chance to speak to her…”
