So the recent ‘murder’ in Hollyoaks left fans everywhere wondering just what was going on, but maybe we can help clear that up for you!
Fan of the hit Channel 4 soap will know how, after Walker (Neil Newbon) found out that Maxine (Nikki Sanderson) had discovered his real identity, he ordered his puppet, Kevin (Elliott Balchin) to get rid of the nightclub promoter.
We all knew that Kevin had developed a soft spot for Maxine so we were all left flabbergasted when he drugged her in her flat and then strangled her.
But, think about it, did you actually see her die?
The next episode saw Maxine lying face down on her bed, motionless, whilst Kevin desperately tried to convince Ash (Holly Weston) and Sienna (Anna Passey) that the drama queen had simply jetted off to America to help her sister, Mitzeee.
However Walker isn’t satisfied with the situation and orders Kevin to dispose of the body which is currently hidden at the flat Kevin shares with Maxine…
Elsewhere and Will (James Atherton), still consumed with jealousy over his new, enforced fiancée’s relationship with his brother, gives Texas (Bianca Hendrickse-Spendlove) a broach as a gift. However, the broach is actually a hidden camera, which she pins to her coat, allowing Will to sit back and watch her every move unfold.
Things take a sinister turn, however, when Texas runs into the object of Will’s obsession, his brother and her ex, Dodger (Danny Mac), literally spilling curry all over her coat, and the broach.
Texas removes the coat and hangs it outside HMS Savage before going on board, leaving Will fuming at what he can only imagine is going on inside.
He doesn’t have long to think about it though as he notices someone throwing what looks like a body wrapped up in bin liners into the river, but is it Maxine?
The answer is NO!
It would seem that our instincts about Kevin were correct and not being able to hurt the only person who has been a real friend to him, he has instead locked Maxine in her room whilst making everyone else think she has just disappeared.
And it would seem that Maxine hasn’t lost faith in him either as, overhearing Brendan Brady (Emmett J Scanlan) offering Kevin money to drop the false sexual assault charges against him and disappear, Maxine encourages Kevin to accept, saying that with the money they can run away together.
Kevin agrees but, as the pair makes a run for it through the darkness, Walker turns up – and he isn’t happy!
Will the pair make it out alive? Watch all the drama unfold this week on Hollyoaks!
