As we have previously reported there is set to be another huge stunt in Hollyoaks in the next few weeks when one, or possibly more, resident of the village finds themselves in grave danger when a wrecking ball threatens to destroy more than just a building.
Fans will remember how, to mark the shows 18th birthday last year, a homemade bomb exploded in the council flats killing three show regulars in the process.
Now the building is set to be demolished, but scheming Grace Black decides that it is the perfect opportunity to get either her own way, or revenge.
Still insistent that Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) is the person responsible for her sister’s death (if they could only just sit down over a coffee this whole misunderstanding could be sorted out), Grace (Tamara Wall) decides that she needs to go.
Grace is also a little peeved with Freddie (Charlie Clapham) after discovering that he was the tattle-tale who informed her father, Fraser (Jesse Birdsall) of her relationship with Trevor Royle (Greg Wood), so decides to kill two birds with one stone.
Freddie is ordered by the alpha-female to murder Mercedes, but when he refuses she tells him that someone he loves is being held hostage in the council flats and that they will not be released until Freddie carries out the order.
With the wrecking ball on its way to tear down the flats, time is of the essence as Freddie tries to save the person inside, unsure as to whether it is his new wife, Sinead (Stephanie Davis) or his not-so-secret crush, Lindsey (Sophie Austin) – And now Hollyoaks have released a dramatic trailer for the episode.
From the video we can see Freddie waiting to marry Sinead, a wedding we weren’t sure would go ahead after the young mum slept with his younger brother, Robbie (Charlie Wernham) after believing that Freddie was cheating on her with Lindsey.
The wedding seems to have taken place as Freddie addresses his new wife as Mrs Roscoe, but when, during the reception, Grace delivers him the ultimatum he is horrified when he can’t find Sinead, and then even more so when Robbie tells him that Lindsey is also missing.
Who is in the building? Who will survive? Tune in to Hollyoaks all this week at 6.30pm on Channel 4 / Channel 4 HD to find out, and in the meantime watch the trailer for yourselves in the clip below:
