How To Survive The Property Crisis
As the credit crunch takes hold, no one is feeling the pinch more than home owners and house buyers.
BBC Daytime gets to grips with the issues in a week-long event examining different aspects of the property market – from people unable to sell their home, facing repossession, to the problems facing first time buyers – and even asks if now is the right time to trade up.
How To Survive The Property Crisis brings together some of the BBC Daytime’s best property and financial experts to impart their knowledge, devise action plans, offer invaluable tips – and uncover that it’s not all doom and gloom.
The series is presented by Martin Roberts (Homes Under The Hammer), Kristian Digby (To Buy Or Not To Buy, Open House), Dominic Littlewood (Don’t Get Done Get Dom), Declan Curry (Working Lunch) and May Rahmani, a new face to daytime who runs her own property-finding company.
Liam Keelan, Controller, BBC Daytime, says: “The property market has changed dramatically in the last year, in How The Survive The Property Crisis we’re tackling the issue head on and attempting to provide important advice and tips for Daytime viewers living through the situation right now.”
The experts meet people in trouble and offer help and advice to get them back on track; they look in to the world of estate agents, property developers and companies who will offer to buy your house if you’re in trouble; and they’ll show you how your home can make you money – from taking in lodgers to hiring it out as a film location.
The series producer is Sallie Leak, the Executive Producer for True North Productions is Jess Fowle and Executive Producer for the BBC is Jacqueline Hewer.
How To Survive The Property Crisis, Monday 17 to Friday 21 November 2008, 9.15am, BBC One Daytime
