Ibiza, a sun-soaked new series beginning July 10th exclusively on LIVING, will be charting the delights and downfalls of life on the ultimate hedonism hotspot that is once again the destination regaled by party-seekers and media alike as the place to be. Young or old, famous or just frivolous, the beautiful Balearic isle has regained its crown as the destination of choice for thrill seekers seeking chic island adventures. Forget the stories you’ve heard that the party’s ending on this clubbing Mecca - the island continues to thrive as more pretty young things fall in love with its spectacular beaches and glamorous nightlife. Who can blame them? Anything can happen on The White Isle – join the Ibiza ride to find out for yourself.
Follow the stories of the people and the places that make the island so fabulously notorious, as the show reveals how during the months of high summer, as the temperatures soar and the island sizzles with sensual character, holidaymakers and residents alike make their mark on Ibiza.
This sexy, compelling docu–soap will feature a colourful cast of intriguing characters and lush locations that will inspire and entertain, leaving viewers eager to join the party and share the whole Ibiza experience in all its vibrant glory. Over a run of nine one-hour episodes, viewers will be introduced to the many faces of Ibiza, from one end of the island’s vivid spectrum to the other.
Much like on the island itself, the fun will continue day and night, and viewers will be able to log onto the LIVING website, livingtv.co.uk, for exclusive extra content. Here we’ll learn even more about the ups and downs of the characters from the show as well as meeting new faces and visiting new locations. In addition the social networking audience will be able to interact with the show via dedicated channels on Facebook, Bebo and Youtube, all making use of special web-only content.
The series will explore the club culture that has given the island its well-deserved reputation as party capital of the world; where hardcore clubbers can be seen rubbing shoulders with Ibiza regulars Jade Jagger, Sadie Frost, Sienna Miller, James Blunt, and Peaches Geldof.
If dance music isn’t your bag you can head to the brand new Ibiza Rocks Hotel in the heart of San Antonio where rising stars of the indie circuit the Underground Heroes are tearing up the stage alongside bands such as The Enemy, The Fratelli’s and The Pigeon Detectives.
One person guaranteed to be on the dancefloor is veteran club promoter Allister Logue, and his ever-present dog Chupito. One of Ibiza’s more outrageous personalities, he can definitely lay claim to contributing to the island’s reputation for decadent style. His stylish Warholesque persona and legendary ‘Allister’s Empire’ parties have earned him plaudits in Vogue and a place in Ibizan legend!
Watch Duane Lineker’s story to get a taste of things behind the scenes at San Antonio’s newest drinking nightspot and find out what it takes to get a new bar off the ground. Lineker’s is the newest addition to the scene that repeatedly attracts young travelers to Ibiza. The bar is run by Duane, nephew of Gary, and we follow his desperate attempt to get the bar up and running in time. Danielle Lloyd, Michelle Heaton and Calum Best are all on the guest list for the opening party – but will the builders have finished in time? And will his new bar staff have learned how to mix all the cocktails before opening night? With so much riding on this launch and notorious DJ Brandon Block as business partner in the venture, Duane has everything to lose if he can’t pull this all off.
So much more than just a party island, Ibiza is often a fresh start for many people. Coventry-born Nicole landed on the island five years ago with just a bag of clothes and £25 to her name. She now runs Bellisima Ibiza, a lucrative beauty therapy business, with her mum Christine flying in twice a month to give Botox injections to her growing list of clients. Join Nicole on her search for the perfect plastic surgeon as she works on opening the first cosmetic surgery clinic on Ibiza. Will she find the right pair of hands to help take her new business to the top?
Then there’s drag queen Miss Karla. By day, a mild a mannered interior designer, by night a popular entertainer on the family hotel circuit. After dark Miss Karla runs the door at the legendary Hed Kandi nights at Ibiza Town’s exclusive El Divino.
The show will also follow the fortunes of two of the hundreds of teenagers and twenty-somethings that flock to Ibiza for summer work. For instance we’ll meet Nicky and Sam, old friends who rediscovered each other on Facebook earlier this year, decided to give up their lives in England to try their luck in Ibiza.
Each week we’ll catch up with a wide range of characters from across the island, providing guaranteed must-see television. With no scripts, an eclectic cast of contributors, and a long hot summer ahead on the coolest island in the world, anything can (and probably will) happen.
