Inbetweeners star Greg Davies to get his own show – Man Down!
Davies, who has featured in many comedy panel shows since the show ended, has written and starred in a pilot for Channel 4 called Man Down.
In this new show, produced py Avalon, Davies takes on the role of another teacher, called Dan, who hates his job.
Channel 4’s comedy commissioning editor, Nerys Evans, said: “Greg is in more ways than one a giant of British comedy. He has managed to write a joyfully funny, laugh-out-loud script. We’re thrilled to be working with him on his first solo piece.”
Avalon’s Jon Thoday, said: “We are very excited to be part of bringing Greg’s brilliant comic creation to Channel 4.”
Whilst waiting for this new series to take off, Davies is about to embark on a new national stand-up tour, The Back of My Mum’s Head, in which he refers to a lot of his own experiences from the education system. The tour is due to begin in october and visit venues such as the Hammersmith Apollo.
His debut comedy tour, Firing Cheeseballs At A Dog, was extended three times!
