The bizarre British comedy, This Is Jinsy, is set to return to our Sky Atlantic screens next summer, and this time is set to star Inbetweeners star, Greg Davies, as a girl!
6ft 8in Davies is best known for playing bitter and resentful teacher, Mr Gilbert in the hugely popular lads comedy, The Inbetweeners, where he reigned sarcasm and punishment on sixth formers Jay (James Buckley), Will (Simon Bird), Simon (Joe Thomas) and Neil (Blake Harrison), as they made their way into adult life.
Since the hit E4 show ended in 2010, Davies has appeared on several panel shows including Have I got News For You, Mock The Week and Never Mind The Buzzcocks, as well as embarking on a stand up tour, and staring as Ken in BBC3’s Cuckoo.
Known for his dry wit, huge feet and ridiculously tall frame, Davies is now set to join the cast of This Is Jinsy, set on the humorously constructed and community controlled Island of Jinsy, as a woman, so the Sun newspaper reports!
Davies will appear in the first episode of the second series of This Is Jinsy, written by Chris Bran and Justin Chubb who also play the leading roles, when it airs next summer.
In his new role Davies will play a dark figure employed to punish the more eccentric residents of Jinsy.
Also lined up to star in the second series of the weird but wonderful comedy is British comedy legend, Stephen Fry, who is due to play a professor on a mission to save the isle from a plague of rampaging hair, Katy Brand who plays a psychic who delivers her readings from a pen of rats, and also Ben Miller, Dame Eileen Atkins, Phil Davis and Gavin and Stacey star, Rob Brydon.
