Rumours are circulating at the moment that one of Lost’s cast members has signed a contract to appear on a new show, so does this new role mean death for the actor’s Lost character?

The fact that a major character is about to die on Lost is no secret; the producers have never been scared of killing off even some of its most beloved characters. Anyway, word leaked out earlier this month that the Lost Grim Reaper will once again swing his character killing scythe in the direction of one of the “fan’s most favourite” characters, and we may now have a hint who that may be!

News broke last week that the ABC remake of the 1980s miniseries ‘V’ will include Elizabeth Mitchell among its cast who plays Juliet in Lost. This news was reported by EW.com’s Michael Ausiello, however, his ‘inside’ sources apparently then told him that Elizabeth’s appearance on ‘V’ was only as a guest star, so the casting wouldn’t necessarily mean imminent death for Juliet.

But, The Hollywood Reporter then threw into the mix the news that Mitchell’s been contracted to play the major star in ‘V’ – a female homeland security agent who deals with the alien invasion.

Obviously, playing the lead is very different to being a guest star, so if HR is right and Ausiello’s wrong, then it could well mean that we’re about to lose Juliet on Lost.

Poor Sawyer! He lost Kate to Jack and now he might be about to lose his new love too… eeek!
