Is it all over for Cain Dingle in Emmerdale?

by Lynn Connolly

Cain Dingle – who’s played by Jeff Hordley – is a bad lad extraordinaire, but it seems that when the villagers find out the extent of his recent bad behaviour, he could find himself run out of town…

Next week, John Barton (James Thornton) is set to find out that Cain bedded his wife Moira (Natalie J Robb) and of course, the entire village – aside from Charity Tate, Victoria Sugden and Belle Dingle, who already know – have yet to discover that he got teenager Amy Wyatt (Chelsea Halfpenny) pregnant.

And of course, let’s not forget that Cain still wants Charity back, even though she’s vowed to never have anything to do with him again, and is about to marry Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson).

Also, Cain’s dad Zak Dingle (Steve Halliwell) has washed his hands of Cain since he thumped him recently.

So all in all, there aren’t very many people around Emmerdale who actually like Cain are there?

The show’s executive producer, Stuart Blackburn, hinted of what lies ahead for Cain in a recent interview with Inside Soap.

He said, “There will be a big showdown with Cain and the Sharmas – and pretty much the whole village, come to that!

“Cain has been running rampant for years, and aside from Debbie and Sarah [his daughter and granddaughter] his one true love is Charity…

“So he’ll do anything to stop her from marrying Jai.”

He added, “The storm clouds are gathering at the moment, and the big question heading towards Christmas is, has Cain gone too far this time?”

And Natalie recently said of Cain, “There’s big storylines all around Cain coming up, leading up to Christmas.

“He’s making a lot of people unhappy, put it that way, in the village. Bad repercussions are coming.”

Let’s take a look at some of Cain’s finest bad-boy moments in Emmerdale…

And finally, here’s the moment when Cain’s beloved Charity found out that he’d got Amy pregnant…

Roll on the fireworks eh!
