The annual Isle Of Wight Festival will return next year to celebrate its 13th birthday from Thursday the 11th of June until Sunday the 14th of June.
And by the by, just in case you’re stuck for gift ideas this Christmas, what better gift than a festival ticket?
But moving on from my request to Santa, we’ve already seen an announcement for the 2015 Reading and Leeds Festival and later today, we’re expecting another…
However, the Isle Of Wight team are also set to officially announce one of the festival’s performers tomorrow (Monday 1st December at 5pm).
Of course, as you’d expect, the festival’s organisers aren’t giving anything away ahead of that in order to ensure that they get maximum coverage for their big reveal tomorrow, but just how ‘big’ will it be?
Well, festival promoter John Giddings has confessed: “I’m trying to contain my excitement. It’s someone I’ve been after for years”.
Though he didn’t say much more than that, the rumour mill is in full force and eFestivals reckon that one of the big names that could be announced is Fleetwood Mac.
However, the band – who would be a huge draw for any festival – are always being rumoured for such events, as are Spandau Ballet, The Strokes, Maroon 5 and The Who.
Fleetwood Mac would make sense though in terms of the Isle Of Wight Festival next year, particularly given that they have their tour across the UK during that time period.
So, the waiting game is on until 5pm tomorrow night (1st of December) for the festival team to make the announcement.
Could eFestivals be right? Do they have someone in the know or are they just taking a wild guess that could turn out to be right, or completely wrong?
