The annual iTunes Festival begins tomorrow night (1st of September) live from The Roundhouse art centre in London with a fantastic line-up of some of the greatest musical talent the world has to offer.

With the likes of Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Arctic Monkeys, Vampire Weekend, Tinie Tempah and more performing each night across the month of September there really is something for everyone and you’re sure to find a hidden gem you probably didn’t know existed.

If you’re not sure who to check out or haven’t heard some of the names on the line-up then say no more. I’ve compiled a list of my Top 5 acts you should be sure to check out.

Remember each night live on iTunes a different act will perform and you can watch completely free of charge from the comfort of your own home.

This list is in no particular order, these are just my Top 5 artists you must check out if you’re looking for something new.

Bastille

Bastille have grown in popularity massively since their debut album ‘Bad Blood’ was released earlier in the year. The band are performing at the iTunes Festival on the 8th of September with support from The 1975.

Arctic Monkeys

Arctic Monkeys are extremely well known but let’s face it, you really shouldn’t miss out on their performance at the iTunes Festival and the band will perform on the 9th of September with support from Drenge.

Chic featuring Nile Rodgers

This one has got to be a no brainer. While the music of Chic isn’t new, it is classic material and everyone needs to listen to it at least once. Chic featuring the fantastic Nile Rodgers will perform on the 14th of September with support from Janelle Monáe.

The 1975

While The 1975 don’t have a headline slot during the iTunes Festival but they’re supporting Bastille on the 8th of September and are definitely a band to keep your eye on. They really are fantastic and worth listening to.

Fenech-Soler

Fenech-Soler are another band who don’t have a headline slot at the iTunes Festival but are supporting rockers Paramore on the 4th of September. I’ve seen them live twice and they’re a pretty incredible band who are incredibly underrated.

Along with the other big names like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Jessie J, Justin Timberlake and many many more. All performances will be streamed across the month on iTunes for free.

Watch the official trailer for the iTunes Festival which begins tomorrow night with Lady Gaga. Make sure you check out the festival in iTunes across the month and let us know if you check out any of the five I mentioned above.
