The iTunes Festival is set to continue tonight live from the Roundhouse in London.

The annual festival will welcome Swedish DJ Avicii to the stage from 9pm.

Tim Bergling better known as Avicii is a DJ and record producer who in 2012 was ranked Number 3 on the Top 100 DJs list by DJ Magazine.

Since her career began back in 2007 his first notable song didn’t actually come until the 28th October 2011 when he released ‘Levels’.

He had released material previously and I’m sure fans of him will know this but ‘Levels’ would be the stand out point of when his name really shot out there.

Avicii has released his debut album ‘True’ today (13th of September 2013) ahead of his performance tonight.

The album features various collaborations including the likes of Chic frontman Nile Rodgers, Mike Einziger of Incubus, soul singer Aloe Blac, Imagine Dragons star Dan Reynolds, American singer Adam Lambert and many more.

Speaking about the album previously Avicii had said that the album would move away slightly from his electronic and house vibe to other genres like country.

‘True’ follows the release of ‘Wake Me Up’ which topped several charts around the world and also follows ‘You Make Me’ which features vocals Swedish musician Salem Al Fakir.

Following tonights performance at the iTunes Festival which kicks off at 9pm (following support from Henrik B at 7:45pm) it seems like Avicii is heading off to Las Vegas for a number of shows before moving onto Mexico.

Avicii will definitely be a game changer as tonight is the first night this year at least that we’ve had a DJ take to the stage. Looking in contrast to the rest of the festival this line-up surely has to be one of the best.

How often can you see Elton John the night before Avicii and then Chic featuring Nile Rodgers the night after? Make sure that you check out iTunes for the remainder of the festival to see if perhaps your favourite is playing.

Watching the festival from the comfort of your own home is completely free of charge – as is winning tickets!
