The iTunes Festival continues tonight with more acts than you can shake a stick at. Across the month we’ve seen the usual headlining act with a support act before hand.
Tonight though, while HAIM are the headliners for the night we also have Dan Croll, Bipolar Sunshine and then Gabrielle Aplin.
The reasoning for this is unknown but we can only speculate that it may be that HAIM don’t have a lot of material out right now compared to other artists.
HAIM are a group of sisters from LA and have often been compared to early Fleetwood Mac.
The band have yet to release a full album but by the time they start their tour they will have released their debut album ‘Days Are Gone’.
The album, which will include singles ‘Falling’ and ‘Don’t Save Me’ is due to be released on the 30th of September following their performance tonight at the Roundhouse in London.
HAIM kick off their UK tour on the 4th of December – full information can be seen here.
Gabrielle Aplin started out by performing covers of songs by You Me at Six and Paramore and sharing them with the online following she had built up.
In 2012 Aplin revealed that she had been signed to Parlophone and was recording her debut album.
She shot to mainstream attention when she performed the soundtrack for a John Lewis television advert when she covered “The Power of Love” by Frankie Goes to Hollywood which on the 9th of December topped the UK Singles Chart.
Along with her debut album ‘English Rain’ Gabrielle Aplin released her second single ‘Please Don’t Say You Love Me’ in 2013 which peaked at Number 6 in the Official Singles Chart.
The iTunes Festival begins tonight from 19:00 with Dan Croll, 19:45 with Bipolar Sunshine, 20:30 with Gabrielle Aplin and then onto HAIM who will take to the stage at 21:30.
