September has been an incredible month of music. Not just for the iTunes Festival but for BBC Radio 1 who have held their ‘Even More Music’ month at the same time.
This evening we’re set for a bit of retro pop at the iTunes Festival in London and this evening’s performance will come courtesy of former Voice coach, Kylie Minogue.
The Australian singer and actress will take to the stage at the Roundhouse and the beauty, who was recently in the UK at the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, is back and with her own dazzling show and setlist.
Throughout the course of her career Kylie has released twelve studio albums with her most recent coming in the form of ‘Kiss Me Once’.
‘Kiss Me Once’ was her first album in four years and was the follow-up to her 2010 release ‘Aphrodite’. It dropped in March of this year.
The album was met with fairly positive reviews though some complained that it didn’t feel current enough and that the singer tried a little too hard.
However, chart wise in the UK the album managed to peak at number two on the Official Albums Chart and at number one on her home Australian chart.
Either way, tonight’s performance at the iTunes Festival in London will be something to remember and ahead of Kylie, Grammy award nominee MNEK will take to the stage to open the night.
If you can’t make it to London tonight then remember, don’t worry. Apple have made each night of the iTunes Festival available to stream online, completely free of charge through iTunes.
So, you can either open your iTunes application on your laptop, on your iPhone, iPod or iPad device or even your Apple TV so you really don’t have an excuse to miss out!
