ITV Announce Primeval Series 3!
ITV have announced the return of the critically acclaimed, smash hit adventure series Primeval. Having taken a monster size chunk out of Saturday nights in 2008, Douglas Henshall, Hannah Spearritt, Ben Miller, Andrew-Lee Potts, Lucy Brown and Juliet Aubrey are back. And with an extended run of ten episodes, the action continues to evolve with more new faces joining the team.
Jason Flemyng (Stardust, Layer Cake, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels) and Laila Rouass (Footballer’s Wives) get ready to tool up alongside Cutter’s crew as Danny Quinn, a maverick policeman drawn into the mystery by the death of his brother and sparky Egyptologist, Sarah Page. And faced with an increasing menagerie of terrors from our past and future, the team get its very own bodyguard in the courageous form of Captain Becker (introducing Ben Mansfield), leader of the ARC’s security forces.
Still reeling from Stephen’s death and with the depth of Helen’s betrayal now revealed, Nick Cutter must fight to re-focus his embattled team in order to continue the work they started. But as the anomalies continue to present an unrelenting series of threats, the task in hand seems almost insurmountable. If they thought the Mammoth was a sizeable problem, then the Giganotosaurus is a truly epic one. Bigger and badder than a T-Rex, the dino hunters finally come face to face with the type of predator they have feared the most.
With events getting even wilder, creatures steeped in ancient folklore begin to make an appearance and it becomes clear that the origins of myths and legends are linked with the mysterious anomalies. From a Pristichampus, a creature which bares a striking resemblance, to the ancient Egyptian crocodile demon Ammut, to a Dracorex being hunted by a deranged Knight who is convinced it’s a dragon he must slay, it seems everyone wants a bite of the action.
But it’s not just the creatures the team has to contend with. The cloak of secrecy behind which they have been working is beginning to slip as deadlier creatures continue to rampage through the anomalies; questions are being asked as the conspiracy spreads its net wide. Prepare for more explosive action as Primeval bares its newly sharpened teeth.

i think that all this info is brilliant and the website is easy to access and look round, but all i wanted to know was when primeval was coming back on tv!!!!!

For all asking above, rumor tells that Series three is coming back some time in March, or in January 2009.
Believe me, I’m as beat up about that as you probably are ): I can hardly keep myself contained, waiting for it!

Thank god this is a British show. American networks have no idea what a good show is anymore. They only care about high ratings and not the development of a show. Primeval just gets better and better. Series 3 cannot come fast enough and I hope a series 4 is not far behind.

I’ve heard that Primeval series 3 will air on the 17th Jan 09, but only time will tell. Not that long now people

* Episode 1: Rumored to have a plague of rats carrying the black death escape in a shopping district
* Episode 2: Rumored to include a alien like creature that is based on the xenomorph from alien
* Episode 3: Rumored to include a tribe of cavemen who stumble through the anomaly,along with a Short Faced Bear.
* Episode 4:Rumored to have a Prehistoric Dragon that burns parts of the city down.
* Episode 5: Rumored to include no creature as an anomaly opens spewing poisonous gases into the atmosphere in the middle of a town
* Episode 6: Rumored to include an invasion by millions of creatures. The team need help (They get it from their future selves).
* Episode 7: Rumored to include the whole gang with duplicates from the future. One of the Nick Cutter duplicates will sacrifice themselves to save the universe as the anomalies break apart.

i think primeval is wicked word is its coming back on 17th january 09 but some think its going to be pushed back to feb because of new show demons. my guess there going to put it on, on sudays instead
primeval is the best show ever everyone must watch it. also on youtube there r spoilers and it tells u who causes the anomalies

No offence b, but those rumors you posted are a load of crap. None of the information thats in that is correct. Primeval, I have learned, is due to start a week after that absolutely crap “Demons” has finished. I hope to god that doesent get another series.

Primeval Series 3 Does Not Start Next Week I Read the magazine and it didn’t say it was comin on next saturday and Demons is finished !

Hey all, i am absolutly tearing myself apart waiting for series 3, im watching series 2 over and over again to fill the void.
I remember last year it was on after ant and dec so hopefully it will be next week!!
im just watching itv all the time to see an advert!!! but no luck yet.

Extremely excited about Prime Evil coming back for the new series – cant wait! Series are getting better and better – trying to find the series so far on blu ray!
Basically – may sound abit sad – but this tv show has been the best for special effects too.

I’ve just read that it will be returning on Saturday 28th March!
They new series started today. It is on at 7.20 Each saturday.
The first episode was a bit boring, but It’s goin to get better. My faborite EVER is Connor, He’s so awsome and cute! Series four is going to come out! And lol at all the americans and people outside britain! Nothing does sci-fi like the british. I’m glad to be british, lol. I will anwser questions if you ask…
