ITV are hoping to follow up from their success with the National Television Awards, and launch the all new National Movie Awards.
The National Movie Awards will be held at London’s Royal Festival Hall on 28 September, and broadcast on ITV1 the following night.
The award winners will be chosen from a list of the years most successful movies at the box office.
ITV is hoping to attract major Hollywood stars to the UK for the ceremony, which will be the first event of the awards season to look at the year’s summer blockbusters.
