Bad Girls actor, Jack Ellis is to join the cast of Coronation Street as bad boy bookie Harry Mason.
Harry will first be seen threatening cab driver Lloyd, who has failed to pay a £400 debt.
A Corrie spokesman said: “The bookies will be a colourful addition and will ruffle a few feathers.”
In scenes to screen in December, Harry demands that Lloyd pays his debt, and then steals his cab to show they mean business.
But knowing Lloyd can’t pay up unless he has a cab to work with he returns it - with the chilling ultimatum: “You’d better work your little cotton socks off 24 hours a day. You’ve got till Friday or my lad will be straight over to break your legs.”
A source said: “Harry and Dan soon make their presence felt, leaving betting shop regulars in no doubt they should not cross them.”
