Jake Roche, son of Coleen Nolan and Shane Richie, is following in the footsteps of his showbiz parents as he takes on a role in Emmerdale.

The 17 year old rising star will play Isaac, the college favourite who starts dating timid teenager Hannah Barton (Grace Cassidy). Isaac will be Hannah’s first real love and a welcome distraction as her family goes through hell with junkie daughter Holly (Sophie Powles). However, as their relationship gets more serious and the situation with Holly spirals out of control, will Hannah’s parents be there for her if and when she needs them?

Jake said: “’I am thrilled to be part of such a great team. Everyone has made me feel so welcome. After watching Emmerdale for years on TV, I still have to pinch myself on set as it’s all very surreal. My family have been very supportive as always and we all can’t wait to see my first episode.”

Series Producer, Gavin Blyth added: “Jake is a great addition to the cast. Isaac will be a fun character who will offer some light relief for Hannah as her family face their darkest hour.”

Jake will arrive on screen as Isaac in August and has signed a contract with Emmerdale for the next few months.
