James Bulger – A Mother’s Story: Real Crime
James Bulger was two years old when he was abducted from a Liverpool shopping centre and murdered in February 1993. This year James should have been celebrating his 18th birthday with his family but instead their final image of him is as a toddler, captured on CCTV, holding the hand of his killer.
Featuring brand new interviews with James’ mother Denise and the policemen who conducted interviews with the killers; the film looks back at a crime that shocked the nation, thrust a young mother into the spotlight and led to the unprecedented trial of two 10 year old boys.
Denise speaks of the impact of the murder on both James’ family and the wider community and how she has fought the justice system since her son was taken.
In this poignant birthday year, Denise reveals she is ready to work towards something positive in James’ memory and explains why she has now decided to create a lasting memorial to him, which will help other children.
James Bulger – A Mother’s Story: REAL CRIME explores the legacy of James’ murder and how it has affected the people directly involved. New and exclusive to ITV1, on Thursday 27th Nov at 10.40pm

How very devastated Denise & other family members must still feel, losing a child in any circumstances is a definate no/no but knowing the scum who did that to little Jamie are still breathing in Gods air must be the final insult to The Bulgers !
I had my own little girl just a bit older than jamie and i think because of this i found the abduction and how the little boy died unbearable and it left me feeling very emotional.
I travelled up to liverpool to pay my respects on the day of his funeral.
I travelled up to liverpool the day before the funeral with my young daughter the weather was bitter cold on the day.
