Gavin and Stacey star, James Corden, has revealed that he would never consider making a return to Hollyoaks after his initial stint eight years ago.

The 29-year-old told Esquire magazine that he would rather “die” than appear in the Channel 4 soap again.

He said: “I’d rather die than go back. I can’t tell you the sheer disdain I have for the place and people.”

The 29-year-old continued: “I met a couple of really good friends there, but it’s (only) 20% nice people.

“It just breeds p***** - all these people walking around with this chicken-in-a-basket fame, talking about going to LA, you know?”
